- Half brother to Prix L'Arc de Triomphe winner Urban Sea. Cost 2.3 million French Francs as a yearling owned by S. Shuhail and trained by M. Stoute winning three races at 7f to 8f from 2yo to 3yo. Won two fom three at 2yowith success in 7f maiden August 4th and 7f Listed Acomb before last of five in 7f Group 1 Dewhurst. Won the 2000 Guineas on second run at 3yo then brok a canon bone in the Irish Derby and retired.
- To stud in 2001 and a second season sire in 2005 and a Group 1 success for his best runner to date in Proclamation (8f). Good record in his first two seasons with his British raced 2yos with better than 35% winners to runners and a well above average strike rate. Has got winners at all distances from early season and an above average strike rate with his debut runners. Solid quality in with Group 3 winner Dubai Surprise and Listed winner Eliotts World in his first crop (with Proclamation a late season maiden race winner). Only maiden level winners in 2005 although To Sender started favourite for the Coventry before disappointing.
- 42 yearlings sold in 2005 with the colts averaging well over 50,000gns and the fillies around 40,000gns. 56 yearlings sold in 2006 at a 57,000 guineas average.
