July 11th: Windsor 6f Maiden	Did not reach his reserve at the breeze up sales and continued his downward arc from the high foal price (possibly linked to his name). Eigth runner for a first season sire that did not race at 2yo and is by a non precocious sire himself. Made a solid impression at the sales. B2yoR rated 15 of the yearlings and they were a variable group but with the better types tending to make good prices. His first four runners were poor but he then had a good debut winner over 6f and his latest runner was a 33/1 debut winner assisted by a moderate race and a strong draw bias. Dam showed poor form racing for J. Spearing and made her debut over 11f on the AW at 3yo. Her first foal, by the lesser sire Atraf, was a useful 7f winner and this seems to have affected the sales prices of the later foals who have shown moderate form. Younger trainer has varied his approach with 2yos 2002-4 and seemed to have settled for later season debuts and targeting STO runs for wins (unless useful+ Like Johnny Jumpup in 2004). He has run eight on debut with two FTO winners - one in early April in a weak race and one by a useful filly in a moderate race. In general the runenrs have been competent on debut and those with ability have tended to indicate it by making the first 4. In summary an interesting runner. Although the price has declined he ought to be a solid physical type and the breeeze up prepartion and later debut should mean he will be ready on debut. Form of the dam's recent foals a negative but the trainer is likely to have this one ready to compete. Well drawn next to the rail and ought to make a prominent debut if the ability is there.
