Made a high price at the Tattersalls December sales.
Reviewed at the sales and small and heavily built (typical of the 'Sir
Albert' type of the sire). Strong and notably deep in front but lacking
some atleticism to use his strength. Rated 68.
By sire with a very good and consistent record with 2yos. Gets early, precocious
sprinters and good record with debut runners. Solid percentage of useful+
2yos. Notable for runners having better record on GF+ going.
Sire has had two STO winners this season on firmer ground.
Dam had just an average pedigree but was a useful and precocious sprint
2yo. She did not develop at 3yo.
Major trainer does not target strong debuts and only the very best win
FTO. He has had a slightly slow start to 2005 with only one winner (STO)
to date. He has lacked the better quality earlier runners of the last three
seasons.
He is in the period when they debut the better 6f+ 2yos. One of these has
won FTO at Ripon despite a problematic run.
In summary should be an average sprint 2yo and needs to have developed
his movement well from the sales to be better (and not a 'tubby little
trundler'). Either way he's unlikely to be superior enough to win on debut
from topweight. Profile [61]
