June 25th: Newmarket 7f Maiden	Made a good price for the lesser Tattersalls December sales having not reached her reserve at an earlier US sales. Good sire has good record with UK raced 2yos. Gets winners at all distances. Wins tend to start from May onwards but worth noting that most of his previous 2yos have been with 'bigger' stables (the Dunlops, Stoute etc.) who don't start with 2yos until later in the season. Sire imported to UK by Darley in 2003. He has had the winner of the Coventry Stakes in 2005. US bred dam was a winner there and has produced two minor US winners. Veteran trainer targets 2yo racing and has a good record. Notable for having a plan for most 2yos and being flexible enough to use whatever approach is needed to give best chance of a win. Trainer does not target FTO wins although they are usually competent so the better runners can place or occasionally win on debut. Runners often 10lbs or more below best on debut. He has had five previous runners in 2005 and none have been competitive to win FTO. Three have placed STO and one has won on 3TO. In summary likely to be an educational introduction.
