Made lowish to middling price at Doncaster St Leger sales. At the low end
of the trainer's buys.
Rated 61 at the sales with an average chance of being competitive at at
a low level with this type of race being the upper end of his aspirations.
He was just over medium size and build at the sales and notably physically
immature. He lacked the length of his sires better types and was lighter
behind.
By second season sire who made a good start with 2yos in 2004 with a solid
number of winners and notable for some good quality types. Got 5f winners
and runners tended to be better from May onwards.
Sire has had 4 poor runners so far in 2005.
Older dam has reasonably stout pedigree. She has only has one previous
runner runner in Britain who developed to show good form over middle distances
at 3yo.
The trainer does not target FTO wins and although his FTO runners have
been more competent in 2003-4 only the very best types tend to win.
He has had five FTO runners in 2005 and three were prominent for 3f+ before
fading and not untypical trainer debuts. One of those runners has improved
to win a moderate race STO.
In summary a moderate to average type and should be below his best on debut.

pressed the leader for 3f but a strong fade. Estimate [45]
Made a moderate debut by trainer's current standards in a weak race (the
second was beaten in a Class 7 race yesterday). Steps up to 6f. Minor improvment.

12/1 LTO and finished 5th in a weak race finishing behind seller type who
was 4th. Travelled close to the pace at halway but soon left behind as
the two better types pressed on. Estimate [42]
