APRIL 24th SUMMING UP
|
A low quality race and may only require a performance in the 40s to win.
Little Trump offers the fifth opportunity of the season to guess
whether a Mick Easterby 2yo that placed on debut or STO can hold it's form
well enough to win a weaker race S/3TO before it boils over. The score
so far is 2-2 with Bow Bridge (7/2jf) & Soto (5/4f) winning and The
History Man (8/13f) and Looking North (4/1) failing.
On the plus side The History Man had given hints of waywardness on debut
and Little Trump looked relatively straightforward.
Better was expected of Compton Lad on debut although he achieved
a low rating and looked uncomfortable on the wet turf. His trainer's 2yos
tend to improve STO anyway and he represents the main challenge.
Difficult to see any of the others challenging. Welcome Approach appeals
as the most likely to place at a long price if there is a 'surprise'.
