Pre-race Summary

APRIL 24th SUMMING UP
  • A low quality race and may only require a performance in the 40s to win. Little Trump offers the fifth opportunity of the season to guess whether a Mick Easterby 2yo that placed on debut or STO can hold it's form well enough to win a weaker race S/3TO before it boils over. The score so far is 2-2 with Bow Bridge (7/2jf) & Soto (5/4f) winning and The History Man (8/13f) and Looking North (4/1) failing.
  • On the plus side The History Man had given hints of waywardness on debut and Little Trump looked relatively straightforward.
  • Better was expected of Compton Lad on debut although he achieved a low rating and looked uncomfortable on the wet turf. His trainer's 2yos tend to improve STO anyway and he represents the main challenge.
  • Difficult to see any of the others challenging. Welcome Approach appeals as the most likely to place at a long price if there is a 'surprise'.
