6f Maiden Fillies' |
Made a lowish price at a US sale. The trainer raced the dams previous British
2yo who made only one racecourse appearance.
Veteran sire has an average and very consistent record with his British
raced 2yos in recent seasons, getting 2-4 winners from around 12 runners.
Ok for 6f wins from May onwards. One of his previous two runners in 2005
won over 6f STO after a quiet 5f debut.
Dam was a quite expensive sales purchase by Mrs Magnier and trained by
J Berry. She was a precocious 5f 2yo and she had five starts at 2yo with
a typical pattern for a filly not up to winning in Group class and not
really progressing. Won a Thirsk Novice in May, 2nd in the Hilary Needler,
5th in the Queen Mary, 3rd in the Cherry Hinton stepped up to 6f and unplaced
in the 6f Ascot Gp3 race for fillies. She has produced a sprint winner
in Italy and s promising 5f debut runner for this trainer who appears not
to have run again.
Major trainer does not target strong debuts and only the very best win
FTO. He has had a slightly slow start to 2005 with only four winners to
date. He has lacked the better quality earlier runners of the last three
seasons.
He has had 1 debut win and 4 places from 16 runners to date. The latest
two debuts have been promising types.
In summary a good 2yo pedigree and ok for 6f. Would need to be useful or
better to place probably. Profile [61]
