May 2nd: Newcastle
5f Auction |
Sold initially for 800gns as a yearling but resold for 6.6k gns to the
trainer who is a supporter of the sire and trains for the Stud that bred
this one.
Average sire who gets 5f sprint 2yos, some precocious and occasionally
better than useful. Has a poor record with FTO runners.
Unusually, the sire has only had one runner so far in 2005 when early 5f
runners are usually a stronger point.
Dam was a poor runner and related to various sprinters of varying quality
who have run for the Berry's and this trainer. She produced a 50ish rated
runner with her first foal.
Trainer does not target strong debuts and FTO wins are rare. He runs two
in this race but the stable jockey is at the Doncaster meeting.
In summary an ok pedigree fro a 55-60 rated 5f 2yo but unlikely to be ready
on debut. Profile [38 + 3 = 41]

May 20th: Haydock
5f Auction |
12/1 on debut at Newcastle (trainer's other runner was backed to 7/1 on
STO. Broke slightly slowly and more than 5L of a solid pace for the grade
at halfway. No progress. Estimate [17]
A poor run even by trainer's educational debut standards. The race looks
poor with all subsequent runners uncompetitive in a range of races. Moderate
improvement. Profile [30 + 7 =37]

June 6th: Pontefract
6f Fillies' Auction |
100/1 at Haydock and outpaced early and never in the race. Estimate
[28]
Trainer runs two in the race (which he often does) with this one a bottomweight
3TO ridden by D Allan (probably because he can do 8-2) and W Supple on
the other. Profile [35 + 9 = 43]
