SUMMARY
 2Fast going and an ordinary time. Star Rover (Pen14, A5) broke well and set average pace towards stands' rail. Joined by Ytartfawn to halfway and briefly headed but SRov professional and accept this without running freely. CBanan held 3rd 1.5 lengths back.
Gentle Beat & Marchin Star both lost ground at the start on their debuts. GB allowed to find balance and ran rail through race and plug on quietly later in race. MStar wanting to hang left throughout and bustled along to get closer & faded inlater race.
Star Rover go on from 2f out where Ytartfawn fades & CBanana switched out from rail to almost centre track to progress to second. Closed a little on Star Rover but he always looked to be holding her comfortably.
Winner not have to run to best to succeed in controlled performance and ordinary time. CBanana even smaller than he is to point up her limitations. GBeat allowed to go an even pace through race and kept resonably close to previous winners receiving a lot of weight. Ok debut by trainer standards.
