SUMMARY

2Rail well out. Rain overnight and during day changed going to Good. Horses kicking top layer divots off & not an easy surface for newcomers. Field raced stands' rail as 1st race of meeting. Later fields went centre to far rail in straight.
Solid pace spread field out early and many lost ground at start. 1st 5 home were in the 1st 5 postions very early. DLaura led on stands' rail quickly and the, much bigger, KoLeo ran freely to pull across to join her. Existentialist behind them. LBrazilien awaywell wide with Azif dropping in behind her unlike FTO when she was hard to control. LBraz cut over to join DL & KoL after 1 furlong to produce a Line-of-3 which persisted into the last furlong. Little to report behind these 5 with GLass in 6th & losing ground 2f in. ICLady & LPattern made some places by fading less than the 6-7th & 9th at halfway. DLaura made an effort 2f out and KoL & LBraz stuck with her until cracking inside the last 1F. Exist't lack place but plug on throughout & not fade as much.
Azif 2L off lead at halfway & progress to just lead as the Lo3 broke up. DLaura respond and challenge Azif to line and closing late. DL carrying 4Lb more after Ap3 & OW factored in. KoLeo one to follow & odd minor winners up front. Most will be NW.
