SUMMARY

2Pinnacle Lad & Sacred Star (cross from high draw) form up in leading pair early and set too strong pace together and 3 lengths clear at halfway with field spread over 10L+. SStar stall and fade inside 2F out. PLad do well to hang on until fading late on and heading near the line. Can do better with a less forcing run. SStar finish with poor types but might have usable ability if she can stay 5f fully.
Novay Essjay a bulky type and notably mature attitude, loading himself into the stalls. Showed same control in race to be 5th at halfway just over 5 lengths back. Closed up inside the final furlong to lead late in three-way photo. FTO winners for trainer used to mean high class runners and most recent ones OR80+ types. Can improve further.
Pepper Lane chase leading pair early until held back after 1 furlong. 3 Lengths back in 3rd at halfway and close up with NEssjay to challenge PLad towards the line. Ok promise for trainer who has had FTOs mostly ready in 2009.
Refuse To Wait finish with limited horses but FTO and green. Looked unpressed at finish so worth check NTO. Ingleby Spirit another in a batch of rancid debuts by trainer Fahey standards.
