2Very Strong Wind. Across the track towards stands but partly a tailwind. Stalls stretched across track from far rail. Racing on course showed an Advantage racing prominently on the far side. A particular bias showed up if getting close to the Far Rail. Centre-Far groups could compete with those racing on the Far Side but off the rail. The Cambridgeshire was won by the frontrunner against the Far Rail throughout with his runner-up tracking him on the rail from the start. Bias so obvious that entire field raced Centre to Far Side in that 30+ runner event. Waveband's improved effort here an early example of the effect as she led on the Far Rail from the start and never stopped. Check how her apparent improvement stands up NTO. |
