SUMMARY
2Rain around country but Newmarket appear to miss it and still GFG. Odd race with a slow time and moderate form but difficult to judge the overall pace. King's Approach appear to set average pace on rail but faded tamely. Perhaps not stay 5f but perhaps set a stiffer pace than it appeared. But whole field within 3 lengths at halfway to add weight to the average pace theory.
As KApproach fade intot he inal furlong & eased Shark Man & Niran go on together and duel to line with newcomer Niran always going a little better receiving weight.
Shark Man looked in good condtion and a little improved and stepped up to 6f having looked too slow for 5f despite a lucky win when 4th & outpaced into the final 1F. Ran well here & can rate 5-7 higher.
Debut wins for Clive Brittain usually mean a Listed+ quality horse & Misheer has already confirmed that in 2009. Trainer has more early debuts this year & Niran attended pace well. Has a development pedigree and a solid debut rather than an obviously high class on but positives for beating a winner off an average pace. One to take seriously in Novice company.
KApproach supported but his win at Leicester is working out in a mixed manner despite the 3rd's later win. 2nd & 4th both beaten in Northern races since & 6th/8th not confirmed their race ratings in later runs.
No obvious promise in other three.
