Placed fillies raced far side. Both Divisions won in similar Style despite the complications of the winner racing different sides. Ground on softer side and looked holding and making it very difficult for these Auction racers to see the 6f out. Pacemakers formed up on Stands' Rail in both Divisions and went too hard. Being driven along by 2.5f out and fading pretty early both times. Which set both races up for a bigger type ridden off the pace to come through and win going away from very tired horses. Which made both look better than they perhaps are on the day but both likely to be the ones to go forward. Zenella the third FTO winner of season for trainer (40/1 & 8/1) to add to debut places at 28/1, 9/1, 6/1 & 8/1. Probably 7L off pace here and well ridden to work throught he faders as they expired and win going away. No Poppy ran well again and saw off the smaller Chvise (poor odds-on favourite on her form) in a fair race between them on the stands' rail. Again persisted well off stiff pace and would have won well but for the better newcomer. |
