SUMMARY

Pace too strong with free-running PAC allowed to pull forward at the front and drag the field along too fast. TDawnaround 3.5L off the lead at the 3f pole but then made a big effort (with OCB mostly going with her) to lead before 2F out and kick the final race efforts off too early. First two home 6L+ and 7.5L back of the lead at halfway with Sarandjam fully 9L back (jockey took the hood off late at the stalls) and Calormen (another Channon early season starter running poorly and never fulfilling any potential) off the back at 12L and whipped along early.
Another solid run by TD and a delay of her effort to 2F out would probably have seen her last home. Lost 2L at the start and jockey niggling away from early on and either not getting a response or feeling he was always chasing the race (which would fit with the early final effort). Also had the disadvantage of racing widest throughout the race on the outside of the bend.
BTiger runs for trainer who does develop horses for Nurseries and dropping in trip often a sign. This one unsold as a 2yo in April at a breeze-up sales and the type to make you wonder what people are looking at, at these events. Here he is a few months later unable to compete off OR45 and at 22/1. A smaller, stodgy type of his sire but with the bulk to think OR60s ok when he tightened up. Niggled along throughout like he was not a full trier and still plugging on at the finish. He must be usable off the OR he has so one to track to see if the Market suggests the trainer has found the key to him. Perhaps vision restricting headgear of some sort will be the key.
