SUMMARY

Similar shape of result to first Division but with a more obviously stiff pace. 3 horses pulling clear in a Line-of-3 in the Back Straight and going too quick to last out the race. Race followed same pattern in the straight with a Stalker horse getting to the lead by 1f out (GPearl the equivalent to Mega Mount in Div I). But that runner not able to hold off a Closer coming from well back down Centre track.
The two Divisions produced two of the three biggest margin back at halfway winning Closers at the distance so far this season. One possibility is that the way the track was prepared would assist that outcome. But, some part of it would be that these were 2 Nurseries with more exprienced horses and a bit more get-on-with-it churn. As opposed to the Maiden race classic 'Shape' on the 2-3 competitive ones jogging around at the front unpestered for a late race sprint while the Green ones, along with those told to finish well back and hide their ability, trundle around at the back.
