GF going with further 7mm of watering before racing. Going Stick at 8.2 on Fri at 12:25 = UPDATE = 8.0 reading. Medium Breeze as a Crosswind from the Right. Stalls Centre. Trainer Tinkler interviewed after the race said he felt it was a poor race and he was not surprised to win it. Race seemed to be run at a slower pace with the first 7 through halfway packed into less than 2L off the lead. 2F sprint at the finish with the field struggling to separate themselves. Moderate to poor form and probably not form to read literally. LHull well below Open Maiden class and not one to follow. Haafkry ran too freely and just an ordinary effort and debut rating probably too high (check Ayr race level). ForF looked mentally young and not getting involved in previous two runs. Tried to part pack it in here but bullied into getting involved. Limited type and how was he ever 1st string FTO at HYDK? Flosse a slow start and go back to the group because of the slower pace. Got blocked as the efforts started so got set back for the sprint. Ok effort to slow up a bit in the last 1f. Might find the right set-up in an auction race if she can be more professional. Bartley another rancid debut, very green, by a Smart 2yo this year and no example of his strongly competitive FTOs yet. |
