SUMMARY
£10k Bonus Race.

GGF going with 1.5mm of rain overnight. Going Stick = UPDATE = 6.4 at 12:30pm on the day. Light to Medium Breeze as a Crosswind from the Left.

New Trainer Dalgleish now has a record of 3 winners from 5 runners with 2yos and another placed. His FTO record in now two wins and 1 x 2nd place (all here) but a question over how 'ready' those debuts have been. The 2nd place was a slightly wild one that needed to be part walked to the start and second on raw ability rather than tuning (Stonefield Flyer and placed in the Windsor Castle this week). Sound Advice again the best physical type in the field and 10L adrift early after stumbling on the pick-up. Still had 8L+ to make up in the striaght and ran alone on the stands' rail and hard to know what advantage that might have been. But, a strong finish and probably just the best horse beating some lesser ones. But, as with Stonefield Flyer some signs of wildness and SAdvice crashed through the rail after the line injuring jockey Mulrennan (broken leg) and then the horse ran loose for a while.

Badea looked green and cumbersome on debut and took a long time to get organised and going forward on a straight track. Looked a poor favourite on this turning, faster 7f unless he had improved notably. Not as bad as FTO but still a cumbersome type and leaving the impression he will need further and/or a stiffer test of stamina. Ok type.

Marching On another ok type for OR70+ from trainer Ryan in a season where he has had a raft of good debuts with 9 x FTO wins when his total for 2008-10 was 10. His best year with 2yo debuts is 2006 with 10 x debut wins.
