SUMMARY

GS Going with 4mm of rain in last 24hrs. Going Stick at 7.0 on Weds 15:00 = 6.9 on day.. Stalls Centre. Light Breeze as a Direct Headwind.

Michael Owen as owner of Electric Qatar on a small message service around 11:00am = "He is a monster of a horse and even though we fancy him, I'm not backing him at them odds when he has never seen a race course before....... Just switched my computer on. My horse, Electric Qatar, odds on for his 1st ever run in a 16 runner race! Word has obviously got out!" Dascombe on the same service = "It has been no secret that we think this horse is good, after all he's entered in a G1! Hopefully he'll run well today..."

EQatar talked up as very useful since early seaon and Dascombe said he was the best of his 'early 2yos' and entered in early season. But, later start over 6f. Went 1L+ clear 1f out without looking that good then started hanging left and fading late. Not looking fluent in getting away a little bit from FHouse and re-passed by that one late on. Note that EQ hung away from centre track where the winner came up so perhaps fading partly due to getting onto worse going? Market clueless about the Zarooni 2yos again with Ajtebi on Citizen's Charter in the first colours but drifted while Spencer ridden Captivity in the 2nd colours and supported. Race 0.28s slower than the preceding Novice race with this winner carrying 2lbs less. Both fields race Centre track mostly.
