SUMMARY
 GGS from GSG two days prior. No rain in previous 7 days until 0.2mm overnight. Going Stick reading from 06:45am.

Light Westerly Wind = Half Headwind From Right.

Field raced in Two Main Groups with largest in Centre Track with Khefyn racing Widest and off the pace and only one to make 1st 6 home. Other 5 in first 6 home part of the StdsSd-Cent Group with Muharrib & Indignant able to handle pace and finish race off and Shrimpton, TBJ & MDancer plugging on non-threateningly through the faders. Bond Club racing Close to Stands Rail alone for much of race. Extended distances and overall slow time and poor ratings seemed a mix of reasons. Finely balanced stiffer pace along with which strip run along. But also due to a lot of poor runs for various reasons and Muharrib having to put up a slower time and lesser rating to win clearly than the previous maiden race winner did. Not strong form and a thin race behind the first 3 home. who were the only ones to run close to, or vaguely within range of, their upper ability levels.

Lucky Lodge ran in the First race of the season (The Brocklesby) and here in the Last race. Interesting to look at the ORs the Brocklesby Runners End the Season with, in finishing order :-

My Boy Bill = 67 (Down from 88 when Nurseries began).
Well Acquainted = 103 (Up from 75 on June 30th)
Mayfield Girl = 79 (Her opening figure and 79-82 range)
Just Past Andover = 83 (NR since June 25th & never ran in a Nursery)
Lucky Lodge = 68 (Down from 75 initially)
Perfect Words = 65 (Opening 63 & still a Maiden)
Lady Poppy = 78 (Opening 75 & peak 81)
Heavy Metal = 110 (95 on June 30th)
Emperor's Daughter = 52 (Down from 58 & still a Maiden)
Maypole Joe = 51 (Maiden)
Marvelino = 68 (75 Opening. Not run in a Nursery, Maiden)
Deepest Blue = 71 (Opening 70, Maiden)
