SUMMARY

GSS from G 2 days prior with 20mm rain Sun, 11mm Mon, 14mm Tue (Mon-Tue Bank Holidays), 2mm Wed, 21mm Thu, 14mm overnight wih Storm passing Through. Heavy Rain with 15-20mm more forecast through Race Day. Update to Going Report? Going Stick reading from 07:30am. Strong SW Wind = Half Headwind from Right.

Tough conditions given the rain and very strong and blustery wind. Field came over to Stands' side around halfway with WFPower hanging left at the time and left alon far side until cutting across later. Average pace and moderate form

Cuisine too green on debut and a better type in review than 33/1 and well beaten STO on firmer going sounds. Trading shorter here and improved and perhaps because of the ground and still learning. Moderate form here but did well to duel with the original leader then see off DDual in the last 1F. Won a little comfotably and has scope to racte OR80+.

Dansili Dual smaller than winner and neat and perhaps mid OR-70s and vulnerable in Average+ quality Open Maidens. Perhaps try BTON but probably poor value in Average+ races.

Odd run by Strong Conviction who seems to have more ability than he has shown in his last two runs. Seems to be 'quirky' and reacts to things around him in the race rather than just getting on with it. Also seems to lack a real change of pace but then seems to stay on solidly after finding, or making his own trouble. Travelling ok in front line 3TO at GDWD then took time to pick up in a race which was a 2F sprint and got surrounded. Did not react well to that initially. Got bumped on a couple occasions in the last 1.5F there and lost ground but still plugging on at the finish.

Looked Green and distracted by the conditions here and dropped to last after 1F and more than 6L back at halfway. Again took time to get going but an ok effort in the last 1F and beaten less than 1L. Can rate higher and perhaps better 7f.

Buy Art an expensive purchase for the Green family and Gary Moore has had strong debuts for them over the years including 2 x FTO wins. Ridiculously fit for a debut and typical of the trainer. Running ok until hanging and moving awkwardly in the last 2F and eased. Difficult one to judge and conditions would need to be a part excuse. Jockey interviewed earlier in day and said he had never ridden the horse but Ryan Moore had ridden him at home and at a LNGA racecourse gallop and told him that But Art should go alright.

Minor interest for the Nursery futues of Windforpower & Kwanto. The first is not straightforward and runs to free and hangs but has some pace. Trainer can develop runners with racing. Would need lower OR60s to be competitive. Kwanto better in Review than expected and ok strong. Not in good condition yet so can develop further. Too 'wild' at present and fizzy in the prelims and dropped the jockey TP. Faded early but if that can be excuses by the antics then has the scope to be competitve at OR60s in nurseries and trainer does develop this type with racing. One to track.
