SUMMARY
Light to Medium SE Wind = Headwind in Back Straight and Tailwind in Home Straight.

Slow Pace and a poor time. Moderate form Not to be read literally. WFG able to jog to lead. Halfway poisitions to Final Placings tell most of story when factor in Quality of runners, the jockey's agenda for the day and how efficiently they race (especially wide and free on bend as issues.

Janoub Nibras a solid OR80+ one and seemed to run very well STO and be up to competing in conditions races through mid-season. Jockey Hughes able to play around given the opposition and the pace here. Took the lead 2F out but with him still holding on to the horse. Able to sit their like that just cruising along with the other, smaller and less able, ones giving it their best go. Asked JN for an effort 1F out to see what he could do. Got 2-3L ok but then seemed to be green and head up and staring ahead once clear so no further progress. Uninformative and JN is definite OR85+ and relating those behind him in terms of how close they finished to him here ought to be a red card for any Pundit.

Sadiigah a small trier and perhaps OR60s at best. Able to finish by being well placed prominent on the rail behind the slow place and settled. Willing and gave it her best go in the straight but well below Open Maiden class and not a '2' to be relying on.

Halfway placings show that not a lot happened with the bulk of the field roughly maintaining their postions. Bay Laurel interesting since he seemed to show a fair bit more. Running wide and 4.5L back at halfway. Produced a real relative forward kick in the last 2F. Small one but ok build a bit of a negative. On the other side of that his best two siblings have been notably small but chunky with it. Making ground in a moderate race but against the biases. Appears to have something if not Open Main class quite. Check what quality of race STO.

Moonlit Dancer another smaller one although competent and just an average effort int he context of the race. Not one to follow. Typhon more interesting and both male runners for major Newmarket stables seemed to have taken the cue of a 2/9f as an excuse for some 'Schooling in Public'. Neither jockey made any attempt to get them into the race. Typhon clearly a bigger and chunkier model, aside from JN, in this field of lesser types and a lot of fillies. But, hauled back at the start to sit well behind a slow pace so effectively removed from the race early. A bit green and took time to get going inside 2F out and dropped back to near last. Making ground back again ok in the last 0.5f+ while the jockey checked his texts on his mobile. Better than his final position here and might be above Open Maiden class. Trainer seems to struggle to get 2yo winners and needs better types to do it. He said in early season this one was tall & leggy and needing to strengthen up and perhaps not out until Sept. Hard to think he would be running up early for an important owner to him unless he though he could win with it.

Different view to some extent on Quiet Prayer on whom jockey Turner made Typhon's jockey look like an 'Ajtebi head-down Presser'. Hauled back to last and never asked to do anything. Bit of response late but a slightly negative review so let him go.

WFGirl small and limited and blon away 2f out and unable to stay 6f even when allowed to jog around at her own pace at the front. Hence her '1' at halfway evaporated. Vinifera a bit builker than Sadiigah and perhaps similar quality but got an entirely different run through the race so finished well back. Drawn wid, ran too freely and pressing on wide around the bend. Some forward effort from leading line centre track at 2f out but bound to fade off her path through the race unless very useful. Probably ran similar race to Sadiigah in 'Power Output' terms.
