SUMMARY
GGS from G 2 days prior. 24mm rain from Thu to overnight. Very Strong SSW Wind = Mostly Crosswind from Left, very slight Headwind. Going Stick = [Update]

Baffling pair of races here on the day and hard to fit into the existing Metal Model. Bridge Night & Rebel Magic pulling well clear in this race having been the leading pair on the rail and Lane 1 from early on. BN producing the better kick to go 2-3L clear of RM in the last 1F but then fading late and RM getting back to her. But WHY? are the pair 6L and more clear of a pair of previous winners, below Open Main level probably but not 6L+ worse. Given the tough conditions and wind how much of that 6L+ is down to underestimating the first pair and how much down to the others underperforming?

The Bridge Night LNGA win has been underestimated to some extent with the 3rd winning next time. Then BN nipping clear here and showing the same kick she showed at LNGA in the last 1F if you take the 'do not like small ones' blinkers off and watch that race again. The trainer after the race said that perhaps BN was better than they had thought after the effort but would keep her to lesser races at present. Ok, so change the view and say she is a small one with an unusual engine, good movement and a full on trier. Perhaps her LNGA race was much better and Cuisine's slogging win on Soft here last week in a slower time was flawed. Khefyn had pressed him for the first half of the race there but never got going here but the pair both finishing well back. But, the 2nd from LNGA (Puteri Nur Laila) gets beaten and LING later int he day and Cuisine's runner up (Dansili Dual) slogs out a win 2 days after this race at WDSR although only just hanging on from a gree newcomer. Hmmm. Indian Affair not seeing the race out again but left behind by BN's effort at 2F out anyway. Majestic Red probably won a soft race at CHEP and is a smaller one. The horse he beat was a dismal 10th here in the later Auction race (making trainer Makin 2-2 for clunkers STO this year off good looking debuts). Danz Choice is small and limited and might end up in a seller. Edged Out not fully willing and getting unbalanced and hampered early so underperforming.

But, what level in BN? Is she a zippy one that can get OR80+ because of the unusual kick she can produce? Surely here size will catch up somewhere though and probably as soon as you start ignoring it. Poor run from Cuisine who did not show any of the battle he did for his win. Must be better than he showed here. Still a baffling race at present but no-one near as much as the following Auction event which produce a slower time and a poor performance overall. That seemed like a totally empty 'Closer Fest' after the few usable ones went too hard and faded a lot.
