SUMMARY

Good from GF two days prior and GFG prvious day after 6mm of rain on Thu and 2.6mm in am. Going Stick reading from 07:30am reported as 7.1 Stands, 7.3 Centre and 7.2 Far Side = where does the overall figure reported of 7.4 come from in that?

Light to Medium SE Wind = Half Tailwind From Right.

Loose ground after the rain and very difficult to make ground ont he evidence of this race. Like a SWEL race where the pace holds and not like a Turf race where those behind can make an effort, get purchase on the surface, and make ground on those in front. Blaine already proven he can handle the surface here and duelling with Heavy Metal from early stage and pair never looked likely to be caught and nothing able to make a 'kick' from behind. Finishing 'heap' perhaps also due to a close matched group lacking any better class ones. Morawij travelled well enough but unable to pick up then faded stepped up to 6F. Lewisham lost 3L+ with a slow break which put him out of the race before 0.5f run.
