SUMMARY
£10k Bonus Race.

Stiff Northerly Wind = Three-Quarter Tailwind from Left in Back Straight, Three-Quarter Headwind from Right in Home Straight.

Miguel Grau expensively retained in US as a yearling and a half to varying quality winners there. First British raced 2yo for sire City Zip who was a sprinter and has built a solid stud career. Breeze Video shows a mixed story and £38k probably just an average price given his background. Getting towards medium and with some build positive but still physically immature. Adds to that being mentally young and looking a bit unbalanced on the loose turf and not finishing the breeze off. A development project if he is any good on the breeze. Perhaps why it has taken 4 months from sale to get to the racecourse. Trainer Botti not in FTO form this year until a batch of 2 in late July, one useful and tried Group 1 level in France since. Followed that pair with 4 x unplaced debuts at SPs 12/1 to 33/1 range. Owned by Fooballer Barton and his Agent who seemt o like a punt so how will the Market go for this one? How ready will it be? September usually a slow month for the trainer so this another 3TO+ development one getting going?

Previous race suggested further evidence for a Concrete Strip up Centre track in the home straight since the surface maintenance. More evidence here with first two home racing widest in Straight and coming comfortably clear. Baltic Knight hung out 3 wide on the bend behind a slow pace and a 2F+ sprint. Not normally a good combination here but racing wide on bend meant he was ideally placed to race up the CS. Intimidate moved like the best horse but faded late and BK finally got by like the stronger stayer. Grand Denial a lot of little things not going right and perhaps better than final result. Hanging on bend. Taking time to find a clear run at times int he straight and racing towards far side.
