GF as on Decs. Note that the are watering the HS in the am. GStick 06:45 for an evening meeting and before thay water = pointless reporting that, take the readings nearer to meeting start. Wondering whether the very early reports, incl for GStick are done to get into a radio report (Radio 5?) segment. Whatever, many CoCs clearly see it as a chore and not worthwhile taking it seriously. Racecourse Association have recently put up a Survey to ask people in racing if they use the GStick, etc. RCA looking for evidence to save money & drop the GStick? 20DegC. Stiff to Medium SSE Wind = 1/4 Headwind from Left. Slow Pace with the small and limited Holystones able to set a jog in mid-track. Postponed the worst puller bhd incl a VeerLh+3f as Milczarek struggled to control him. Race turned into 2f sprint with the field fanning out into a Line-2f+ (angle makes its diffcult to judge depth of line). Postponed able to make a solid effort. Holystones competent & some response but still limited. Mukaynis had raced settled & competently overall and able to make an Ave effort. Epic Voyage bigger than Mukaynis and managed to match that one's effort despite his head going in the air and hanging left for most of last 1.5f. Miners Lamp a bit green overall & difficult to judge whether his so-so effort is WHI or not. But just Mdm so prob the usual downside view best. Byron Gala a bit green but seemed plain outpaced by the 2f sprint starting. |
