GFG from GF on Decs. Watering but no Details given. 1mm rain overnight. GStick 06:30am. 15DegC. Medium+ NW Wind = Close to Direct Headwind in the HS. Syros does an interesting breeze. Looks an OkSz and OkRangeF. Poss a GawkNk. But looks a disorganised galloper and learning on the day. Possibly changing leads regularly for no reason. Willing and Fre and going forward but a lot of energy in his legs and mvmnt seems not being used to propel him fwd efficiently. What PRev Rtg? Slow Pace with field racing in Centre track & 3-5Lanes either side of Centre Line. Stewards' Enquiry Text = "The Stewards held an enquiry into the running and riding of BEACH BAR (IRE), ridden by Jim Crowley and trained by William Knight, which finished fifth, beaten 5 ¾ lengths, and appeared to be tenderly ridden inside the final furlong. They interviewed the rider and the trainer. They also received a report from the Veterinary Officer. The rider stated that his instructions were to jump, get a position, as the colt was very green last time and finish as close as he could. He reported at scales that BEACH BAR (IRE) had lugged left inside the final furlong. The trainer confirmed the instructions. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race the Stewards noted their explanations. " |
