Stalls Centre and an uncomplicated story for first 4f. Field raced centre with 10Lane+ spread but a strong enough pace to stop pullers but not strong enough to spread the field apart. First 13 through Hf within 4L off lead with only FTO Broughtons Secret at 1L off main Group. Lack of pullers mean most of field respected their draw and their rank after the race settled down, to beyond Hf.

Hf to FinPos would suggest a Stronger Pace that set the race up for Closers. But since main group spread over 4.5L at Hf then the pace must have been finely poised just on the fast side of Usable (2L approx 0.4s for e.g.). Other point that is noteworthy is the Low Draws that dominate the finish. Looking at the SPs that could be just a function of more lesser types drawn that side but worth pondering.

Worth reporting also the almost perfect Grading of Lengths Diff from 1st to last by the Finish (Broughtons Secret the one exception & clearly a special case). First 2 home made 2L & 3.5L. 3rd-6th lost <1L. 7th & 8th (the low drawn Leading Line runners thru Hf) lost 4.5L & 5.5L. Which was similar to all the Stands Side of Group runners who wer in same range other than Black Rodded (-7L) but she had run a bit free early from a fast break before held back a bit. Another Hint of a Fine Balance in Race between Pace & Draw (presented as an even split 4 quarters 'Pie Chart').
