SUMMARY
4mm of rain between 10am to noon, still raining, changed Going to GS. GStick never reported on Day. G from GF on decs. Not details of rainfall given. Medium to Stiff 3/4 Wind = Direct Tailwind.

Fahey SL piece pre-race = "We’ve two in the Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Beverley. We fancied Diamond Creek first time up but she got loose before the race at Thirsk and was withdrawn. She worked just ok the other day, I was a little disappointed, but it wasn’t a bad gallop. She has a good draw which will help. Tachophobia is quite nice and will win a maiden. I’m just now sure it will be this one on debut from stall nine.".

Interesting ace Shape with the horses quite close to matching their Draws to their Halfway Positions. Clampdown pressing forward to attend the Leading Lo3 widest from 6 and fading again and too small. Despite the solid pace the two horses in the Leading Line 1st & 2nd at Hf, on the Rail & Ln1, ran alongside for the whole race with Diamod Creek just lasting home and Make Or Madam showing what she could do 3TO racing professionally.

Look at those finishers 3rd+ and NONE made any ground on the first 2 after halfway. Which would suggest a Pace 0 but visually stiffer than that. Lack of any 'Closers' more to do with the quality of those behind or their lack of nous. Look at the 5 horses who made Places after Hf and Studio Star & inert A7 ridden Izzthatright both trundling up the rail and losing ground to the leading pair. Both looking smaller and of no interest. Izzthatright with a trainer with a poor 2yo record as a complete negative. SStar another example of Pears preparing his 2yos well and getting debut wins and places and odd wins, especially at BVLY. But SS a small one in the picture and still small here and a Volunteer 3rd running competently on the rail with nothing else putting a race together.

Two shorter priced debuts from bigger stables running in 2R Lo3 and both fading a lot. Pillar Box racing widest from the rail. Yorkie Talkie another backed MaJo FTO but you shouldn't really be buying Lottery Tickets.

Fazenda's Girl small and slow and who knows what Mick is thinking (if it is thinking he doesthese days). Jubilee Spirit a FTO for a reliable trainer at a low level and can get competent debuts. JS not one of them and a slow start from widest and the race had disappeared before she started to respond.

What quality is Tachophobia? Smaller and 60s or too green? = On full video Review the jk never tried to put him into the race (NPIR). Ok break wide then jk sat still as horse dropped back to be 3R+1f similar distance back to Izzthatright (given similar ride for first 2f by an A7). But racing in Centre track overall. Jk slightly moving around Hf but that soon developed into non-contact arm-pumping ad the horse dropping back unasked and compare that he was perhaps 4L behind Izztharight by that point. Discount the run as worthwhile evidence of what he can do. A smaller one in size and a negative on that but a lot of weak Northern races if Fahey thinks he has a bit of 60s zip when allowed to compete.
