SUMMARY
4mm of Rain in Heavy Shower between 11:00am & Noon turned the going GS. GF as on Decs. 6mm watering on Wed. Inner HS in use.

Retro Valley's Breeze Video unremarkable but not £52,000 positive. Worth doing a check on how inflated the prices at that sale might have been in resrtospect and season end. RV a medium or smaller medium one with a bit of length anf ok build. Runs straight in the breeze but middling pace and flicking ears forward and back and prob never out of 3rd gear in a 'so what?' breeze.

Pace Mixed & too Strong for the Conditions with the field stretched out after 1.5f and those behind under pressure (the odd one perhaps ridden quietly for tomorrow) and apart for Faydhan nothing seeing the race out. Field raced spread out Centre Track to Far Rail. Mixed Pace because initially Leading Pair were Millgate & Speedy Mover widest out in Centre Track. The Free-Runing Pair of Shootingsta & Dutch Connection then pulling forward from after 1.5f to lead soon after 2f run and upping the pace and stretching the field further. That pair run Far Side. Speedy Mover able to respond & tag onto the back of them as they went by but outpaced & dropped by the new Leading Trio. Hanagan on Faydhan effectively sitting on the front edge of the usable S&P range for the Race Pace although more than 4L back after 2f & already niggled. More insistent niggling after 2.5f as the pace upped and jk not wanting the leaders to go too far ahead. Given the pace and the general fading he could have stayed still until the 1F pole and would prob have been close to the lead just by maintaining his pace. Usual mass, early, fading behind on the straight course sprints here left him going clear comfortably in the last 1f without having to do much and needing to judge how much more he could have produced.

Faydhan coming with a reputation as odd-onn FTO. Slower start and ran a bit green at times but able to sit comfotable in midfield. Made ground around Halfway well but just an ordinary effort 2f out and leading by 1f out and going clear assisted by the others fading. A medium size & very bulky and strong. Pricking ears when int he lead and going comfortably of the line. Presume 90+ & interesting to see if he can produce a higher class effort later int he race on faster ground and when more knowing.

Dutch Connection a bigger size & stronger in the field but less strong than Fayhdan. Ran too freely and stalling then fading early. Seems ok for 80+ still and the long distances back here due tot he pace on the going.

Speedy Mover a smaller one in the field and a slight niggle that he was able to run prominently and finish 3rd. Made a goog start & didn't have to make a midrace move to get to the lead. But seemed an improved effort oversll.

A number of NOTT Prev's of varying promise finishing well back and all three not as bad as the result reads on paper. Little Belter given a quiet ride by Kingscote and gave the impression he is being brought along as a development project. Should be ok in nurseries 70+. Shootingsta, typically for a Smart 2yo, running too freely and lfading early. So early as to think he is a 5f horse. Racing with his head to the right and not moving straight at times as a slight counter. But, less strong than Faydhan & DC. Should be able to run to high 70s if Smart can fix him.

On The Tiles at a longer price given the connections and another who seems to be being brought along quietly. Has more potential than the finishing position but presume the Market will say when he is at a race to compete fully.

Millgate small in field but solid build. Running much too freely but looked as if plain outpaced before Halfway although not moving properly in front. Competitive low 60s on nurseries at perhaps 5f?
