SUMMARY
GGF on Decs. 7.5mm of Watering up to Wed.

Rail Fully In.

Medium to Stiff Wind = 3/4 Tailwind from Left in the HS.

Fast Time but notably fast conditions with the rail in and a Tailwind. Visually an odd race which 'Fell Apart' soon inside the last 2f and only the first two home produing worthwhile efforts.

But, Faithful Creek winning from last at Halfway in fast conditions shouldn't happen unless the pace is too strong, FC is a better class one or some other reason. VIsually, FC making ok but laboured progress in mid-track and never looking fully balanced not going forward smoothly. The way the 3rd+ home folded quickly would suggest a strong pace but not visually so. FC not looking the good 80+ type in PRev the time & clear win might suggest. Downgraded the [Est] by 2 after full VRev and would think FC likely to be too high in OR given he has beaten an OR82 rated 2nd here. Meehan likely to run him above a Nursery NTO anyway?

More detailed VRev proving useful for Silver Ranger since he didn't get an 'Easy Lead' as the first through Halfway. Took time to get going and needed the whip after 1f to respond. Then got a bit free and ended up pulling to the lead. SR has looked a 'difficult'.horse in attitude terms before and more of the same 2F out having got balanced ok in the HS on the RL. Head a bit up and a bit of a climbing action and not making the full effort to the jk's satisfaction & more whip use. SR then hanging right up the camber to add to his repertoire of unhelpfulness. Not seeing the 7f out. Adds further to the feeling that FC won this race from last assisted by circumstances as much as his ability. SR has OR82 and could prob compete off that in an Average Nursery but easier to find a winnable maiden. But, doesn't want to, or isn't able to for some reason, put a competent race together at present so a suspect one to support unless he looks more willing or even straightforward.

Tumut looking the small one in the group (Channon again & bought for 52k, enough already) and presume 60s. A bit unbalanced on the bend and had to use a bit of energy early in the HS to recover some ground. But, a poor effort 2f out and an early fold even given that minor excuse.

Water Thief a medium size in the group and an ok build. 75 area. Jk Lane riding and not a typical MaJo effort. WT held back to drop-in 2R and then responded to RR pulling forward outside of him to switch out himself and start racing RR. This led to WT bumping RR early on the downhill and getting unbalanced. MaJo likes his horses to just get into a rhythm and avoid this sort of problem. Lane then using the whip 3F out to get WT making his final effort too early. The horses then hanging right and left in the penultimate 1f as he tired and an early fade. Another horse FC did not have to 'beat'.

Red Rubles another horse setting his trainer problems. Very promising debut staying on in what looked a solid race and might have won that with an extra wrinkle in the race. Then much too free STO and underpeforming because of that. A bit fired up in the prelims once mounted. Settled early int he race and last but then started pulling forward against his jk 2Wd and continued that to be 2nd at halfway. Having handled the ridge and downhill bend ok RR then looking unbalanced and going backwards in the last 2f+ on the camber (already tiring?). Trainer has a good record with 2yos at the course and can often cut his record up to 'prove' profitable to folow. The trainer usually buys/has Medium and well balanced ones who handle the track. RR perhaps a bit lengthier and looser mover than that. Ought to be ok around 80 but problems to fix. Another horse that did not need beating and treat the Faithful Creek rating with a bit of caution.
