SUMMARY
GF from GFG on Decs. Stalls Centre.

Royal Party retained by ex-trainer Peter Winkworth at the DBS Breeze on April 14th. Dam was a smaller but ready one who won on debut for Winkworth (a regular occurence) & only won again at 4yo when her OR finally got down to low-mid 60s after the 2yo balst. RP doing a poor breeze and doing a lot of things wrong. Looking small and mix of her Sire's types = leggy & narrow & weak neck but a bit of bulk in places. But not looking together and small and underpowered overall. Bndaged in front for some reason. Then a bit green and never gets balanced in the breeze and a bit scratchy mover. Breeze seems to go on for ever as every succeding 24yds seems slower than the last and almost at a standstill by the end. Life's too short. Trainer Knight used to get FTO wins at longer SPs but they have dried up and his career not moved up from a solid start. Hard to see how RP can have changed to make Winkworth + Knight = a strong debut.

Juvenil Course Record. Peculiar Day with this the first race on the card with Fast Ground and a part Tailwind. This race with a solid but not strong pace. Heavy Rain for 50 minutes before the meeting but then Dry. THis the first race of the Day and presumably the rain had not got into the ground? Going changed to Good after Race 2 (Nursery) and then to GS after the 4th Race (3:55pm). Field raced Centre but then leaders drifting right in the last 2f. Malabar & Mistrusting getting into a full duel for the last 1.5f and finishing on the Far Side.

See how this rating goes but Malabar seemed to stand up the higher rating in the Albany with this run. Malabar just a neat medium one with a solid build.

Mistrusting ought to be a better debut for Appleby given the ASCT start. A check back shows Godolphin have had 9 x ASCT debuts since 2002 with 2 wins and just one place. 3 of the 9 proved to be Group winners with 2 more OR90+. But 2-3 disappointing ones or they never were more than 70-75 types. Mistrusing perhaps a touch bulkier than Malabar and similar size. Made Progress to the Leading Line as the jk on Malabar was waiting to make his final effort so some CZ. But, Mistrusting doing this comfortably and then a good final effort. Getting tired earlier than 3TO Malabar. On the race run looked a believable better effort and check her size. 85+.

Sister Of Mercy prob a bit talle than the first two but less strongly made. Lacked the crusing speed to make the foward efforts of the first 2 home between 3F out to 2F out and a less good final effort. Looking more like a stayer getting herself back to 3rd in the last 0.5f and gaining a little one the (slightly eased) leading pair late one. Is she a ok 80?

What Say You looking a typical Burke buy and around 75. Similar size & build to RR but more neatly made and straighter moving. Good to solid last 2f effort.

Jillanar running better than the final position. Much too free running overall and did ok to still be travelling ok 2f out given that. Ok Size in the goup (a bit bigger than WSY) but looking a bit raw physically but with scope to improve just in condition terms. Ought to be ok for 75+ and 80 if she can put a full race together.

Grystal Malt a comfortable lead and seemed to have somthing left for the final efforts. Outpaced by the first two home by 2F out but went from making her own reasonable effort inside the last 2f to losing ground and being eased very quickly. Presumably some physical issue but no WTRB.
