GF by Race Time. GGF as on Decs. Watering but no details given. Spirit Of Xian 4th/7 at NAAS June 2nd in a 6f Listed race and just over 1L behind Realtra 4TO ran in a 5f Gp3 at Chantilly on June 30th on GS, Finished 6th/10, beaten 7.4L, at 9/1 with Barzalona riding. Jane's Memory was 2nd 5.4L ahead of SoX with JM on 3TO having been 2nd in a Listed race in France STO after her LEIC debut win. Juvenile Course Record on a Day with Fast Conditions. Connections of placed horses claiming they were 'unlucky'. Oddly improved performance perofrmance form Fast Act with the trainer saying the horse had been drawn wide, got on the wrong lead and lugging away from the others wide from the rail. Ryan say that Prince Frank had told him the horse had finished well once he had got him to change lead. Schoolboy Error by Ryan apparent in that sentence. Ryan saying he shouldn't have run FAct on soft ground FTO. Came back from that early run to win a minor CARL race with some comfort. Then 3rd in the Supersprint but miles behind Tiggy Wiggy with everything else and this run seemed a real step forward. Check the VP for whether the size is ok for this rating. Beacon a small one in the group and Hannon jnr. has said they call him 'Baby Paco' because he looks so like his sire. Never going smoothly on the ground and noted on C4 as 'the first off-the-bridle'. In later race he was finding the Gaps going faster than he was (perhpas because he had given a head start to horse running a course record). Which meant he was shut out of a gap in the last 1f by FAct rolling left and then took time to switch out wider to make some late ground. |
