GF from GGF on Decs. Watered overnight. Stiff SW Wind = close to 3/4 Headwind in the HS. Sweet Dream retained for 85,000gns at a Tatts Breeze sale having been retained for 155,000gns as a yearling. Has a pedigree which means you would expect more to pay more than 85,000gns for her unraced at a Breeding Stock sale. Which probably means she was in the Wrong type of sale as a Breezer because people there should be looking for ready runners and not for a well bred broodmare to add to their Stud. Has a mixed pedigree and a mixed story in the Breeze. A smaller one but appears to have some range in the gather and mostly balanced set-up. But, painful to watch her breeze. She has a fast action and doesn't look a 7f+ type on that movement. Something isn't right with her action in front though. Seems to splay her forelegs a bit and also doesn't use any of the range and instead picks them up short and pounds then down half cocked without reaching out. Interesting that the breeze meant she didn't raise a bid at the level which you could get for her by putting her in the 'Correct' Sale. Aug 3rd notes from Bell Website = " At Goodwood we started the afternoon off with the recent Newmarket runner up THUNDER IN MYHEART taking her chance. She enjoyed the run of the race out in front early on and was picked off rather too easily. She is definitely a filly with a future, but may just be suited by more cut in the ground and a more conventional track. ". |
