SUMMARY

GF in early AM as on decs. Watering but no details given. === Pre Race === Breeze Video for Siberian Power showing a smaller medium one, IP body and ok deep & strong front. Lower forelegs wrapped with big white bandages(affect how the gallop and action are assessed?). Looks a usable smaller medium sprinter in the gather phase. But, breeze on the negative side. Some knee action and a somwhat wide and inefficient action in front. Below average action speed. Doesn't move like a sprinter. Looks more organised later on but just rolling along in a 'smaller medium' way. Trainer Palmer very positive about Ailsa On My Mind in 215 and goes on at length about her. Starts off by saying that if Nidnod didn't win the 'Sales Race' (TO3?) the AOMM would. Notes she is an ok size and the work riders all very positive about her. Also notes she is willing in work but tricky to deal with otherwise. Makes her his 'Bargain Buy'. === Post Race === Using the Visuals as input to the Profile still 'work in progress' but this result one worth dropping into a bit of Twitter style Cherry-picking (i.e., = never send a Tweet about negative or even average results but pop up like you have solved the answer to life, the Universe & everything whenever you happen to stumble into a win). Pictures below of Quick N Qurky (left) & Mr Stravinsky as yearlings. QNQ in particular looking nothing like the rabbity type you might expect for a filly running off bottom weight in this low level Auction race. Picture of MrS for some balance but another one who looks capable of developing to be a strong type (making the shorter SP here some reasonable) if perhaps a bit size limited (which would need checking in PRev). Both QNQ & MrS by sprint sires out of staying mares.       === Average Pace to Halfway with Mecca's Missus leading on the rail and given a soft time. The 7L gap back to 4th seems odd given the Pace. Part of the reason the wide range of abilities and readiness on display. Another reason is that the 3 horses who were in 2nd-4th places approaching halfway effectively disappeared out of the race just before halfway. Emerald Asset in 2nd place after 2.5f but with the saddled slipped, the jk sitting well forward and up and unable to hold the pulling horse. Just prior to halfway EA veered left and took Mr Lupton & Tontito, racing to his left, with him. The trio closer to the far rail by halfway with EA still hanging and ML & Tontito taking time to pull back and round EA. This leaving MM 2L clear at Halfway. Leaving aside the problems for Mr Lupton the first 3 home looking an above average set of fillies for this type of race. [June 17th] Mr Stravinsky green overall and always offerring to hangl and really going 2.5f from home and the jk active with the whip. Okish response inside the last 2f but an earlyish fade as if 5f might be better. But, then have to consider how much of the driving along at times int he first 3f was lacking nous and how much a lack of basic pace. Can improve solidly for being more professional. But, Looker a smaller 'bull' type. Perhaps ok for 60s and a bit size limited espite the bulk? [June 30th] Just an Average Norterhn Auctions and any 75 apart from the winner? Mecca's Missus & Master Mirasol drawn on opposite sides with Mecca'sM getting a comfortable time ont he rail and looking like she ran to her full potential. Lacking scope and a ready type probably. MasterM drawn widest and hanging left wider after the break. Ended up in 3R wide and running a bit free overall. Did very well at halfway to ignore the trio who veered away to the far side together and carry on with what he was doing. Got tired last 0.5f+. A bit bigger than Mecca'sM and pair seem well matched NTO in the same type of race at the course. Pair are drawn 8 & 10 of 15 in July 1st race (Mecca'sM nearer the Stands rail again).
