His FTO record is currently 0-19 with just 3 x places and Appleby is clearing taking having his horses mentally unready FTO to an above average level. His 3TO record is 0-3 and worth tracking whether the unready FTOs actually lead to better career development at 2yo. Rouleau at the upper end of his debut Ratings but was notably green FTO. Which raises a doubt over whether he ran to that level at all and the race over-rated? (Had a Deep Closer winner along with Rouleau's 4th).
