GF in early am as on Decs. 4mm watering on Tuesday pm. Check where the Far Rail is = no Rail Out noted by the CoC. === Post Race === Average Pace with California Lad leading alone on the rail (all fully in) and a soft time leading. Lo3 as 2R then 3 behind that with 2 giving their jks problems. Jk de Sousa on Monstsarrat presumably recognising the problem of a Leader loose and moving his horse up[ before 3f out to close and engage CLad. That pair having an extended duel until CL stalling in the last 0.5f. That pair looking like the bigger pair in the field. Other unable to make any ground back on the 2-3L break the leading pair had got inside the last 3f. [July 2nd] Harlequin Rock smaller type in field and IP body length. Ok build within that size limit frame. Unable to judge him on this run because he was too Frre. Jk clearly expecting trouble and trying to hold him and haul him back as soon as he left the stalls. HR with his head/neck braced forward and down for most of the way to halfway. Only low level plugging on before an early fade. Size perhaps making him only 60s somewhere anyway. |
