=== Pre Race ===

Trainer Palmer saying he had been disappointed by Gifted Master's last 2 runs and GM had been gelded since 3TO. Capt. Cliche going on about how GM had been second to Buratino LTO which seemed good. Making the usual mistake of projecting forward to horses that beat you, rather than looking back at what the ones he beat that day have achieved. That wasn't the same Buratino that ran in the Woodcote & Coventry.

GM looking at least 2 Class levels above the others. Medium size but very deep and strong. Not looking fully fit after the break. Astley Hall walking behind GM and a touch laughably small by comparison. The under-14 rugby player in with the under-21s. AH lookign about 65 with modest scope. Wayward Hoof the stronger and better put together of the Burker pair. Short in height with some length to the body. But powerful through and soild power behind. WH looking fine for 70+. Gave some trouble loading and wearing an unusual bridle? Elegant Annie bigger than AH and neatly made and strong enough for solid 70+. Molivia's Gem not a rabbit but too green.
