MaJo won the 2st 4 races of the season with FTOs. 3 of those have been beaten since, Boater & The Last Lion twice each while running ok, and a poor run from Chupalla. Sutter County won a Novice but got an injury and will not be back before Royal Ascot. The striking nature, and wide distances (9L, 7L, 6L, eased down 1.5L having been 5L+ clear) raise questions over how they have developed so far.
Boater leading and another MaJo runner leading and not seeing the race out. Clem Fandango looking deeper and bulkier than expected and developing ans still looking the willing professional.
Slower time than the CG conds race but looking more of a closerts' race. However, Grizzel seeming to do more than just reel in faders. 4L back on the rail at halfway and Dobbs explored going to centre track beofre 2f out to make a run. With that not working and the leaders starting to make efforts and gaps appearing, Grizzel went back inside. Still 4th into the last 1f and staying on well to lead late. Perhaps looking more a 6f type and giving the impression she can develop further and the best overall prospect in the race. With Boater on the MaJo non-developer list is this kind of race the upper limit for the others?
Hannon jnr. quoted post race = "She's a lovely filly and she'll go for the Queen Mary or the Albany now. She's got loads of size about her. She's done well to win today. She's owned by the same people who owned Tiggy Wiggy.". [14/1 for the QMary after the race].
