- Richard Hannon junior. Son of long-time trainer Richard Hannon who announced in late November 2013, on Richard junior's 38th birthday, that he would retire at the end of the year and allow his son to take over the Title of running the whole operation. Richard junior is one of six siblings, three sisters and himself one of a set of triplets along with sister Lizzie (married to stable jockey Richard Hughes) and brother Henry. Married to Jemima having previously worked through some of the female TV Pundits.
- Worked in racing yards in Australia prior to becoming an Assistant to his father aged 26. The 6 seasons from 2008 on saw notable increases in numbers of horses and in the range of wealthy owners funding the Hannon's purchases. Hannon senior credits his son for much of this upswing and said '..he has gone out and found fresh new owners himself, such as Sheikh Hamdan Al-Maktoum, Andrew Tinkler, Sir Robert Ogden, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sheikh Fahad Al Thani and Saeed Al Tayer'.
- The stable's 2yo performance records improved during this period, from an above average base level, as the number of 2yos to run increased by more than 50%. The Hannon 'Yard' was spread over two large bases by now with Herridge the main centre and around 100 horses at the satellite East Everleigh part. Hannon senior, aged 67 when he retired, will remain involved with the training. His son had been the on-course 'Face' of the stable for some years.
