Hellofahaste review – A pretty uninspiring bunch, this lot. Unfortunately no picture of Angel Down who was the one with a bit more potential long term.

Hellofahaste – Not much to add to the initial impression at Goodwood. She was on her toes beforehand and had a very difficult passage and the way she stuck her head down and charged down Mr Hobbs speaks well of her attitude. That said she still does not look a better one 76

Mr Hobbs – next best in the paddock meaning that at least he looked as if he had been prepared to compete. Had the run of the race yet still could not hold off inconvenienced winner. Top end of small compact. 69

Ariena – Not much of a looker, green, some strength in an ungainly frame. 67

Affair – 600 guineas and she looked like it. Tiny little rabbit who must have a big heart. 63

Waves – A very fit rabbit 58

Angel Down – Probably 3rd biggest after Moneyor.. and Hellofahaste. Ok shape and lower to mid medium. Bit of substance. Fat and unready for a Candy debutante. Struggling without the picture 71-73ish

Battle Of Wits – Boxy behind, small ordinary. 54

Broughtons Story – Clumsy looking beast, still too fat to do himself justice. Lwr medium 65

Moneyoryourlife – Having suggested this one could be slow after seeing him on debut, this was confirmed today. Very limited stride behind, seems unable to stretch out, bit of a constipated walk. 63 if he can learn to move 48 if this is all he’s got.

Woodukheleyfit – Medium and some strength, for some reason I noted him as ugly. I think it was his make up rather than his face. Showed some ok pace and as he was certainly only 3 parts fit. Might improve. 70

Hawridge Glory – Initial impression quite a neat and ready type but his behind is just too petite. Hard to see him doing much more than competing in low grade nurseries. 49

Famous Dynasty – Small and ordinary. 47

Kath’s Boy – took the eye more than once. Only small and getting a Tony Carroll gentle intro. Enough to think he might compete in low grade nurseries or sellers. 55

Skilful Lord – Close coupled and leggy so that he looked as if he might just topple over. 50
