SUMMARY
Watered but no Details.

Stalls Centre.

=== Post Race ===

Aardwolf staying on best of the prominent racers and chalenged by 2 Closers at the line. Sea Fox taking a long tim to puck up then a strong finish in the last 0.5f to make 2L back and be in front just after the line. Ronald R a typical Spencer ride out the back and made ground earlier than SF but looking less robustly made.

Aardwolf (Left below) and Sea Fox.

==== Note :- The ratings number at the end of each review summary is an estimate of what OR they might reach rather than a reflection of how they ran on the day. See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference.

Aardwolf review – Aardwolf shed a shoe in the stables and had to be re-shod so did not appear in the pre-parade or paddock. Looks like the 2nd or 3rd fastest race over the distance. Not that much quality in depth. They seemed to get racing early

Aardwolf – Not much time to form an opinion as only glimpsed. Medium size, fit. 80

Sea Fox – Medium, fit, looked as if he would be competitive and not showing greenness beforehand. Should have won and another black mark for me to Fran Berry who did not get Sea Fox properly organised until too late. Kirby would have won on him. 77

Ronald R – Lightly made and green chestnut. Athletic but very worked up and sweaty beforehand. Looked to have the potential but not for today and finishing position suggests they went too fast early enabling him to use the Nathaniel stamina to run on as everything else folded. 78

Asaas – Neat and ready bottom end of medium, only a gnats bigger than Poetic Force but a bit more scope and strength. 76

Bacchus – Just about the fittest, mid medium, just lacking the scope to compete with one or two of the better ones. 75

Dourado – Small, sloping croup and unattractive build. Not as ready for the day as Asaas. Will struggle to win a novice I would think. 74

Pillar Of Society – Big boy, needs time to grow into his frame, not fit enough to compete fully, here for experience and did well in those circumstances. 78

Hurricane Rush – Charlie Hills likes a big one and Helmet certainly seems to get them. Looked like a few of Hills, big strong, fat and needing a run. Had the aura of the best quality here. 84

Sufrah – Another unfit one, maybe just medium. Might improve to compete around 74

Sfumato – The move for this one late on suggested that the market had sussed out that there was not a lot of enthusiasm behind Asaas and Dourado. Also he is almost black with four white socks so takes the eye. Big strong boy, about 85% fit and was never going to see out a full race unless it was a jog. Hopefully will be able to move his bulk properly once he’s lost some weight. 83

Permanent – Caught the eye a couple of times, lower medium, still fat 73

Phoenix Dawn – ordinary 67

Poetic Force – As mentioned, not much smaller than Asaas, still a bit chubby, small but solid and may well be one that Mr Portman brings back here for a less demanding challenge. 68
