See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference. Jackhammer review my preview note turned out to be prescient. Sea Fox drawn one when the ground was soft so probably disadvantaged as the race unfolded on the high side of the course as it often does when ground soft. He came across halfway through but had perhaps already used up to much petrol on worse ground. Still not much of a race. Jackhammer dismissed as ordinary in notes. Lower medium (described as a big horse by trainer) and some strength through mid section. Won well enough, perhaps going suited well 74 Sea Wolf Biggest in field, full medium size. 76 Native Prospect Tall lightly made and leggy in the Balding mold. 72 Star Maker - Lightly made, medium height, bit weak behind. Still green. 67 Eolian Colty, green, minor promise in small frame 66 Crucial Moment Ok build and size, bit boxy at the back and oddly for a Turner runner did not look that tuned up. 68 Hawridge Glory Now very fit but still not going to win anything off level weights. 51 Geneva Convention Took the eye, still weakish but some size and scope although not ready for today. Did well cnsidering low draw showing early speed. 75+ Buskin River Small, neat ready type, not much scope, but enough build quality to suggest the Hannons may find something for him. Drawn low. 70 Limelight Lady Small, plain, weak 50 Dewan Small light boxy. 48 Sir Plato Awkwardly made, fat. 45 |
