Watered. ========== 1st, 2nd & 4th racing furthest Far Side as field spread out across track off an average pace. Review Notes contributed by @hughonthehill (Twitter handle) ===== ==== Note :- The ratings number at the end of each review summary is an estimate of what OR they might reach rather than a reflection of how they ran on the day. See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference. Hawana review Many here at a similar level giving those with previous experience a clear advantage. Where they all finished in relation to each other was far more a reflection of their level of readiness and trainer approach to debuts than an absolute measure of ability. Hawana Strongly made, medium and had hardened up from debut. 84 Texas Katie Taller than Hawana and in the Mick Channon mold but with a bit more quality than a lot of his. Green in the race and improve again next time. 79 Manama Strong filly in a lower medium frame but with stocky strength throughout. 80 Magical Dreamer Taller and longer type, bit clueless although in good condition. 79 The Lacemaker Not fit and just trundled through late on after a slow start. Boxy type about medium. 74 Copper Baked Fit and ready, barely into medium, solidly made 76 Believable Stoute unready debut, ok scope and medium size, no obvious reason for favouritism other than stable and jockey combination. Improvement to come but not special. 77 Arwa Good proportions and a balanced filly, not ready, as are most of Charlie Hills but had a certain quality. 79 Snow Squaw Just a bit lighter than some here and not looking hard trained. 76 Instigation Another perfectly decent medium to lwr med filly, I preferred this one to stablemate The Lacemaker, both were 50/1. Both needed a run. 75 Sun Angel Mr Candy has a 1 from 60 record with his debutants at Newmarket and this filly reflected his approach. Strong, lower medium sized, good proportions but not ready and here to learn first and foremost. Improve 78 Oh So Terrible Dumped Frankie and ran off. Powerful behind but not quite right mid section and shoulder, overall full medium size but not a bruiser like some of Wesley Wards. Level of support suggests she was not a better one. 76 |
