Kyllang Rock review – a fairly modest race, with competent performances from the first three and not much else to see other than the Grey Galleon.

Kyllang Rock – Lwr end to bottom of medium, decent set up in his frame and looking very fit. Minor coltiness but not enough to worry about. Won easily in a good time but probably limited by size. 77

Mr Pocket – Maybe a bit longer and bulkier than Kyllang, still not quite as athletic with a less balanced set up. Possibly a bit more scope and may end up better. 78

Fabric – Really quite a small filly, sufficient girth depth to think she would compete well but so light behind as to give doubt that she had the wherewithal to overcome anything with a biot more substance. 72

Grey Galleon – Biggest in the field, but probably only full medium. Oddly fat for a Cox debutant and presumably hard to bet fit at home. Big buttocks, maybe too rounded, strongly made yet something in the set up didn’t fully convince. Slowly away, ran green and became unbalanced when asked to challenge. Sympathetic ride from Kirby, rounde action suggesting g/f may not have been that suitable. Potential to be 79 on size but a lingering doubt.

Roundabout Magic – early pace rabbit 57

Express – Rabbit with a suggestion of potential in that she is an ok set up in her very small frame. 55

Delfie Lane – Light framed lower to mid medium plain type. Not sure about the yards buying, another disappointing one who ran even worse than he looked. 58

Dandy Flame – Short and fat Thelwell type. 46
