SUMMARY

Review Notes contributed by @hughonthehill (Twitter handle) =====

==== Note :- The ratings number at the end of each review summary is an estimate of what OR they might reach rather than a reflection of how they ran on the day. See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference.

Best Solution review – A disappointing looking field with no standouts and some reason to crib everything.

Best Solution – Neat and ready, lightly built but with good proportions. Under-rated lto as was Kodiline. 78

Rich And Famous – Got loose in the pre-parade and was calling all the time, nevertheless lower medium strong sort who really put in a good effort as he looked fat. 79

Sea Shack – I thought this one might well nick this race but perhaps just lacking the hard fitness of his two rivals despite having had a run. Lower end of big, just not that athletic looking. Improve again 77

Salouen – This one has screwed his nursery rating. Tough tryer but not the scope to win Grade 1 track maidens. 74

Parys Mountain – Looked a fair size in early season, looked just modest here. 73

Mazyoun – Big rather coarsely made individual. He did not have that bouncing fitness of Escobar or Evergate of recent days and looks a hard one to get fully fit. Improve from here but not a better quality one I think. 76

Tesko Fella – Boxy type, Could easily come back and win a weak later maiden here. Not looking fully tuned today and on a reconnaissance mission? 74

Swag – Lower slung than Tesko Fella, probably top end of small to lower mnedium, bit more heft and potential than TF. 75

Five Star Frank – Big, heavy and ungainly, looked to be moving wrong behind. His front end has the potential for 8o but the back is another story. Fairly green but close to fully fit. 73

Poetic Principle – Odd to see a Stan Moore animal here and looking ok on debut. Ran like a Stan Moore horse though. On the cusp of small and medium but likeable build for his size. Maybe not quite strong enough in the linkage. 71

Harry Angel – Would he have won if he’d run? Only maybe, did not stand out as special but perhaps like Kodiline easy to under-estimate. 78.
