See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference. Mrs Danvers review – Hard not to fall in love with Mrs Danvers. This was a field of mostly small fillies in which she was competing for the smallest in height but she has a tremendous solidity from every angle. Mrs Danvers – Well ridden by Richard Kingscote who got her across from the wing quickly and then allowed her to sit just off the pace rather than get into a pace war too early. Her overall strength and solidity in a well proportioned frame all works together well. Good to compare her with the other grey Grand Myla who is a bit smaller but more heavily built and doesn’t seem to have the ability to shift herself. Mrs Danvers 88 Equimou – Bit taller than Mrs D, lighter build with some back end power. 78 Stormy Clouds – Needs 6f it seems to show her best. 75 Barroche – Probably a bit more scope to progress than a lot of these. 73 Rajar – Another one that needs 6f. One of the less attractive types but certainly has a good attitude. 73 Stop the Wages – I still think this one has a bit more potential than she showed here. Caught the eye a couple of times, athletic frame and ok size. One more chance. Just noticed she has won on gf at Lingfield in my absence. 73 Savannah’s Dream – Small and looked a bit ordinary. 71 Grand Myla – the reservations I expressed about her proximity to Easy victory on debut appear to have been correct as that one and Tropical Rock have been less than impressive subsequently. 69 Tahoo – Bit disappointing, this run. Looked ok in a neat package beforehand. Hard to see how she could have beaten Equimou even with the weight pull lto on this showing. 71 Dainty Dandy – Interesting to see this one’s progress since leaving O’Meara’s yard for Cole’s after her debut win. Just about the biggest in the field. Did not look as fit as she should given the number of runs. Looks to be regressing. 70 OR98! Tallulah Rose – Quite liked this one on debut at Salisbury but does not appear to be progressing much and finish not far behind Fair Eva like Dainty Dandy has resulted in them both having marks they will take at least a year to get over in nurseries and handicaps. Another regressing 70 OR94! |
