S on Decs. === Post Race === Hannon on his SJ blog on 2th May = "You never like to see a horse beaten but I’m pleased to report that news has come to light following the defeat of LEGENDARY LUNCH who could only manage second at Windsor last Monday. I knew something wasn’t right so we got him straight back home and fully checked him over and it was discovered that he had a dirty scope and his blood was all wrong too so at least we have a reason for the run and I still maintain that he is a class horse, so keep the faith!". ==== Review Notes contributed by @hughonthehill (Twitter handle) ===== ==== Note :- The ratings number at the end of each review summary is an estimate of what OR they might reach rather than a reflection of how they ran on the day. See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference. Legendary Lunch review – It looks from this result as though I have seriously over estimated LL’s rating. Sea Of Snow a tough little filly but hard to see this as a result to be taken at face value. The proximity of Zebspear until the last half furlong also helping to keep the level down. Sea Of Snow – Very difficult to believe that Sea Of Snow had made such a huge leap forward in a week. The 73 from last weeks win looks a bit stingy but Tiggaliscious certainly ran to her 72 in the earlier race. S Of S certainly a trier and solidly made but still hard to see her higher than 78 on my scale. Legendary Lunch – Excuses are being made for him that he didn’t settle but he should have been able to put up more of a fight than this. Did he not like it up him or is it attitude? After their tussle at Windsor I had Copper Knight at 82. On this performance I have to drop LL to the same level. Big and strongly made but possibly flawed. 82 Zebspear - Heavily built in a small frame. Certainly a trier. 71 Valley Lodge – Clumsy soft lower medium sized (groom is very tall). Green and unfit. 67 George Ravenscar – Lower medium, low slung fat chap. A mixture of moderately fit rear end and belly. Proper little bull. Might develop with racing. 74 |
