SUMMARY

=== Pre Race ===

Latest work video shows Notalot working in a Visor with unraced 2yo Elementary (OB The Queen, by ExEx). Both are wearing XNBs. Notalot starts in behind and needs hustling along at various points to do what is asked. But, finishes going as well as Elementary (Frank ridden). Medium oaced work and Notalot clearly still learning. Frank able to sit mostly still on Elementary. Pair looking a similar size and solid build. Picture on Bell website for Elementary a positive, strongly built medium & deep one reaching out well uphill (if fighting the rider's hold).

== Post Race ===

A poorly defended race on Profile and no surprise to see long-shots getting involved. Baby Gal coming out 2nd Top on Profile at the weights given minimal improvement from FTO. Something like an 18-20lbs worse performance than by Div II winner (a much more solid prospect in Profile).

More surprised at why Spiritofedinburgh was 10/1. Check for promise from Notalot.

Baby Gal review

A very ordinary bunch with two trainers who do seem to know what they are about getting big priced 1st and 2nd.

Baby Gal – Neat but as the name suggests verging on tiny, the only runner I wrote ‘fit’ by but very size limited, hence the use of the 5lb claimer. Drawn out wide but prepared professionally and got her win. 66

Bayston Hill – Less appealing on looks, downhill, green beforehand, top end of small. 67

Spirit Of Edinburgh – 2to and fit as this trainer gets them. Trundled through. 64

Global Revival – Chunky, very short stride at the walk. 60

Mister Blue Sky – biggest of the group, medium. Nervous, alert, enough scope to be better than this. Looked to be travelling ok but ran green and got unbalanced as he met the rising ground then not helped by ‘all action’ Morris bouncing around and flailing about. Works well on old aw handicappers but not ideal for anxious youngsters. 74

Equity – Plain, narrow hipped, looked like he had had plenty of work but not convince as worthy favourite. Ryan hype! 65

Angel’s Acclaim – Poor looking animal, small, coat not through properly. 59

Notalot – Small, fat, blinkered on debut. 57

Tigerfish – Small, narrow, light. 53

Nudge Nudge – Chewed off tail makes him look smaller than he was. Shading into medium, fat and not ready yet, might improve enough to get competitive in a bad race late on. 60

Masquerade Bling – looked fully tuned up, top end of small one, bit of potential if trainer can extract it. 56

Little Nosegay – Rabbit 40
