MAY 25th SUMMING UP

Forces Sweetheart has the best form and showed a likeable turn of
speed on a flat track last time in the context of this type of race. She
was slightly outpaced by a better 5f filly but was keeping on well at the
end of the race and this stiffer 5f should be acceptable.
None of the others have strong previous form. Magical Music was
25/1 on debut (& not ridden by the main trainer jockeys) and a rare
longer priced SP for a major 2yo trainer. She ran poorly in a race with
a solid pace. She is probably only moderate quality but that may be enough
to place here.
Shermeen's trainer has had all his debut runners make the
first 6 in 2005 although only one has won. They have been competent while
lacking the final competitive edge. The debut ratings have been slightly
increasing with the later debuts and she could be competitive to place
in this type of race.

R Hannon used the 2004 race to introduce a useful filly who won
on debut and ran at Royal Ascot. He runs newcomer Pure Fiction in this
division for an owner he rarely has strong debut runs for.
